About this painting
This is a picture about the percieved attitude of American conservatives towards global warming. An old idea, the planning and drawing for this was done in late 2006 but the painting did not begin until November 2007.
A dissapointed figure forms from pollution smoke and recedes into a distant sunset. Hot curls of energy shoot from the raised arm of the statue of liberty as it stands deep in water, a risen ocean populated only with icebergs.
