About this painting
This was my first original work. A response to the invasion of Iraq, symbols of the war and its causes litter the landscape. The steel teeth of war cry out in anger, and blood mingles with oil beneath the islamic crescent moon. The twin towers occupy the negative space to the top left, with the copper barrel of a gun between, while high above the eye of a terrorist looks on with a curling smile at the anarchy unleashed.
